HookNiques

Who would have thought that being a hooker would be so much fun.

here are the basic instructions for creating any design into a wonderful hooked masterpiece.

******************************************************

you will need a standard Rug hook to hook your rug. (Latch hook is not a rug hook)

Cut wool into trips, about a quarter inch approx 16 inches long or #8 strips.

Cut pattern out with poster-board makes great sturdy pattern pieces to trace.

Trace pattern onto burlap with a black marker.

*note: you may choose to remove the small details if you find it hard to hook them.

Bind edges with masking tape so they don’t fray while hooking.

Place burlap in frame and begin making loops of hoops to fill in your Twigs Design.

Hand-stitch border around edges so that your hooked rug looks nice.

When my daughter Lyndi Elaine was two years old she was practicing writing her L's she had them going every which way on the paper.

Being an artist I immediatly saw the snowmans face.

This was my daughters first original drawing.

he was hooked as a pillow for a keepsake.

I hooked the angels wings to resemble a flag.
