Gatherings Tips
*************************************
Ask your internet friends to come join you, even if they live afar, trust me they will come. it’s a wonderful way to celebrate birthdays too.
Ask your church friends and family to come.
Pick a day or days to gather.
See what is in your area for shops, tea rooms, historical places to visit. You might want to meet in a town that is not too far to drive too.
If doing a one day gathering, have folks bring an appetizer or dish to eat.
If doing a slumber party gathering, buy ear plugs for those who don’t snore. hee hee
Invite someone who is talented in the crafting department to teach a craft.
Make kits for folks if you want so you can stitch at night time or in any spare time.
You might want to do a swap, so have everyone bring a handmade goodie. Put a price limit on it so everyone gets a fair blessing.
If gathering with crafters do a trunk show, have everyone bring goodies for sale & set up show in your house or place of gathering.
If doing a large group & folks don’t know each other make cute name tags.
Have games to play throughout the day.
Frannie’s Color Game: pick a color, ex: yellow, then while out shopping in the stores, everyone must search high and low for a 5.00 gift in that color. You mustn’t let anyone know what your gift is. Wrap it up then at the end of the day, everyone has to exhange gifts. Amazing what folks can find for less than 5.00 when need be. You could make this an item game to, like find something with a crow, or a sheep, etc.
Create a gathering book, have everyone sign their name & a blessing for the hostess to have forever.
Friendly Info, have everyone’s name, address, email contact info so everyone can keep in touch after the gathering.
Thank God for the friends you meet along life’s journey & pray for everyone to return safely home!
Enjoy
