Welcome to
The Carnal Homestead
Wipe your feet and come on in sit at our table and well have some tea.
I am so glad you stopped bye. I'll share with you my passion for primitives
and tell you the stories behind all my treasures that I have collected over the years.
but first let me tell you the story behind our homestead.

We live in the small town of Lacie Kentucky. It's not even on a map dot.
Back in the 1800's a family decided to turn their farm
which was located on the corner of
Lacie into a general store.
So they began building their dreams. They built a nice old general store.
It housed the town creamery, blacksmith
and local feed and seed.
after much success with their business they decided to venture and build their home
right beside the shop.
This became the Storekeepers House
*************************************
Over the past 100 years the house
has been handed down
to the owners of the General Store.
In 2004 my husband and I became the proud owners of this history in Lacie.
Realizing that the home had not been updated
since it was built,
we knew we had to make it safe for our family.
Together our family began knocking down plaster walls, lathe boards, old electrical wiring, and copper pipes.
We hired our Amish Friends
and they began turning it back into
The Storekeepers House
So have a cup of tea and and tour our home
we hope you get Primitively Inspired
